The 42-mile long shoreline of Lake Superior is all lined up with some man made and some natural wonders, the Miners Castle being one of them.  They are made naturally from the rocks and one of the most popular rock formations ever.  They also hold some spiritual significance and were worshiped by the native Anishinabe tribals thousands of years ago. One of the towers from the castle fell into Lake Superior in recent years but the majestic structure still stands.

Kayaking and Boating

Kayaking is very popular at the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore since the water here is crystal clear and the raw windy weather here is perfect for kayaking. There are kayaks available for rent as well and you can also take a guided tour for kayaking in the Lake Superior.
